Lakeside Community Lutheran Church is a welcoming, accepting, forgiving, energetic congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  We provide spiritual connection to God and neighbors near and far as well as warm friendship and family connections. LCLC is mission oriented, giving, caring, and teaches members to be "little Christs" and to reach out to neighbors in need.  We provide exciting and meaningful worship.

CONFIRMATION AT LAKESIDE
On Pentecost, Miranda and Dana were confirmed into the Christian Church by their confirmation leader, Rev Susan Odegard.  We celebrate their journey in the faith!
 
LUTHER PARK CAMP STAFF BLESSING
On Pentecost Sunday, Lakeside was blessed by having the camp staff from Luther Park Bible Camp staff worship with us,  In addition they performed a song called "Make A Difference."  We prayed for the staff to have a great summer!
 
TSANTI SPEAKS IN MALAGASY
The Congregation was treated to an awesome opportunity to hear portions the reading of the Pentecost Story from the Acts of the Apostles in Spanish, Malagasy, and German.  Tsanti Rakotojoelindrasana , a friend of Pastor Peter's also read some of the prayers in Malagasy.  It was an inspirational service.  The Lord's Prayer was also spoken in Swedish.
 
PETER JOHNSON INSTALLED ON JUNE 1
On June 1, Pastor Peter Johnson was installed as pastor at Lakeside Community Lutheran Church by the Rev Diane House, Director of Evangelical Missions for the Synod.  In a spirited worship service, Peter was sent into the mission of the congregation.
 
 
 
 WELCA PLANS EVENT ON JUNE 23
We are planning another WELCA outing on June 23rd! We plan on starting with the ADRC lunch at Lakeside and then carpooling to the Sacred Grove Labyrinth at 27802 Thompson Rd, Webster, WI 54893.
 
Pastor Susan plans to join us for this event. The Sacred Grove is 25-year-old public retreat serving as an area for solemn meditation where the noise and bustle of the world sort of goes away and stress and anxiety can briefly take a break.
 
 
June Mission of the Month
June’s Mission of the Month is for “Refreshing and Renewing our Library”. The library is used for Bible studies, meetings, nail care, and by families for funerals. The actual library has not been updated in years and our books are very outdated. This room
could be a very welcoming and warm space with an Outreach of a Christian Lending Library.
 
Please consider supporting this new mission for our church by contributing to our Library Fund. We will purge the old books that are no longer applicable to our mission, purchase new Christian author books, and update the room with new furniture and fresh paint.
We will be accepting donations of like new Christian books that are newer than 2000. Also, what are your suggestions of books you would like to see in our church’s library? During the month of June, please use the Mission of the Month envelope or write “library” on
your check and place it in the offering plate. Thank you for your support in this mission of outreach!
 
June Food Item of the Month:  CANNED FRUIT! 
 
The June Food Item of the Month for the Yellow Lake Food Distribution is CANNED FRUIT!  Bring your cans to church during the month of June and place them in the bins near the Mailboxes.  Any and all help is appreciated. 
 
New Pictoral Directory Coming Soon! 
 We will be taking photos June 9, 11, 12 and 13 from 9AM – 5PM, and June 15 after services from Noon to 3PM in the fellowship hall. Single, couple or group photos may be taken. Sign-up sheets are in the narthex along with a form to complete to assist with obtaining up-to-date contact information. You will have the option of purchasing digital files of your photos for just $20. We all want to put faces to names and celebrate the beautiful community
 
 
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION OPEN 
 This years VBS is called "Live It Out" and will Start on July 7 and run through July 11 from 9:00am to 12:00pm  Each day will end with lunch.  The link to sign up is here. VBS is open to all youth and is free!
